Have you ever written something: just because?
Just because the words needed out. Just because you could feel your thoughts churning but were not able to grasp them, hold on to the maelstrom of shapeless cognition?
That’s me today.
The last weeks were full of meetings, and teaching, and movement, and falling down the stairs dislocating my arm some pain thrown in.
There was no breathing space, time for thoughts to take shape beyond their movement. And so I am here, iPad perched on my knees, using the process of writing like a dip net. Trying to catch slippery thoughts.
That may or may not one day turn into a shape, a story, a mind-map, teaching material, blog post, or research proposal.
But for now I am fishing in the maelstrom waiting to see what catches.
